As we start a new year, I wanted to reflect back on 2023 and showcase top 5 Newborn Photography Poses on Seamless Fabric Backdrop selected by my clients.
The most popular newborn photography pose was Froggy!
This pose is done as a combination of 2 or more images and should NEVER be done as a single shot. Your newborn baby’s safety is always my top priority. And while not every baby will be comfortable enough to pose like this, when they do, it is often a client favorite. I love how it showcases the baby’s face and tiny fingers and toes.
The second most popular newborn photography pose was Bum Up (alternatively Tushy Up).
This pose is probably my favorite as well and I love offering variations of this pose with props, pillows, and wraps. This adorable baby photography pose showcases those tiny baby rolls. Most babies absolutely lose this pose as it makes their bellies feel good!
Another client favorite is Side Lying pose.
There are so many variations to make this pose unique with angles, props and variation to the baby’s feet position. This is another pose that is loved by the baby as it is extremely calming to them. I love how much variety this one pose can offer as well as how much it shows off those tiny baby faces and hands.
The Tucked In pose has been gaining popularity in newborn posing for its ability to hi-light the baby’s face and include parents’ hands. I love when the babies are relaxed enough to let me unwrap them slightly and show off those tiny baby fists. Parents love when I incorporate some stuffed animals.
Last but not least is the Timber pose. This adorable squishy pose really shoes off the baby cheeks and those adorable little fingers. It is simple and beautiful, truly showcasing your baby.

In Madison, CT, you’ll be greeted by a warm, cozy space with everything you’ll need. Enjoy a warm cup of coffee (or decaf!) and relax in a comfy chair. Your newborn baby will be in good hands.
Each newborn session is planned and customized with coordinated setups and latest props. The only thing you’ll need to bring is yourselves! The studio is stocked with bonnets, wraps, headbands, and gorgeous layers. Forgot diapers or wipes? No worries, we’ve got those too. you don’t need to bring a thing unless you want to.
Safety and comfort of the baby is always the number one priority. I am up to date with all latest required vaccines and take extreme care to keep the space clean and germ-free. While I will have a workflow planned to guide your baby through a variety of poses with the least amount of disturbance, I will also take cues from the baby when they need a break for an extra snuggle or a feeding.
