Connecticut Maternity Photographer
Maternity sessions are one of my favorite things to photograph. There’s something about that season right before everything changes — and I love being the one who gets to capture it.
I’m based in Madison, CT and have been photographing maternity sessions for over 13 years. Sessions are available both in my private Madison studio and on location along the Connecticut shoreline, so whether you want something soft and intimate indoors or something a little more dramatic outside, we can make either work.
Studio & Outdoor Maternity Sessions
The studio option is a good fit if you want a controlled, styled environment with beautiful light and a relaxed pace. The studio is stocked with a collection of maternity gowns and dresses in a range of styles and colors, so you don’t need to stress about what to wear — we’ll figure that out together. If you have a specific vision in mind, bring it. If you have no idea what you want, that’s fine too.
Outdoor sessions are shot on location along the Connecticut shoreline — beaches, fields, wooded paths — depending on the season and the look you’re going for. If you’re thinking about an outdoor session, we’ll talk through timing, location, and what to wear based on your due date and the time of year.
Both options result in the same thing: timeless images that actually look like you during this season of your life.
What to Expect
Once you inquire, I’ll send over a full pricing guide with all the package details. When you book, you’ll receive a style guide to help you plan what to wear for your session. For studio sessions you’ll also have access to the gown collection when you arrive.
Sessions are typically done around 30-35 weeks, when the bump is showing but you’re still feeling relatively comfortable. The best time to book is during your second trimester so we have a date locked in before things get busy. That said, if you’re further along and haven’t booked yet, reach out — I’ll do my best to make it work.
Booking Maternity and Newborn Together
A lot of families who book maternity sessions also reserve their newborn session at the same time. When you work with the same photographer for both, your images have a consistent style and feel from one session to the next — and by the time your newborn session comes around, we already know each other, which makes everything easier.
There are package discounts available when you book multiple sessions together. If you’re interested in a bump to baby package or a full first year plan, just mention it when you inquire and I’ll go over all the options.
