Happy Tuesday! Today I wanted to share a few recent newborn photography sessions. It’s been a very busy few months and I’m sorry to say but I haven’t been keeping up as much with my blog posts. But with the kids in camp for a couple of weeks I’m hoping to play catch up!
I am not exactly sure why but there has been such a boom in newborns lately! So many sweet babies. I love that I’ve been able to capture these adorable photos for their families. First up is miss Celine. She had the prettiest eyes! I loved photographing her family and big brother too! Celine was such an incredibly calm baby and didn’t mind posing for us at all.
Introducing Cree. He was so stinkin’ cute! Cree took a few minutes to settle into the posing, but in the end we were able to capture all the adorable poses, in props and on the seamless backdrop.
Miss Mia was in the Madison CT studio recently with her absolutely adorable family. I had so much fun with her big brother who loved snuggling his new sister. Isn’t Mia just the cutest, daintiest little girl?
A recent mini session with Madelein and her parents was so much fun. Madelein was born early and needed some time before we could photograph her. We did her newborn photos when she was just over 7 weeks old. She was an absolutely dream and slept through all her adorable poses and even woke up at the end so we could catch her cute little faces and gorgeous eyes.
And here is mister Micah. He literally smiled almost the entire time. I loved hanging out and talking with his parents while we captured his sweet smiles and adorable little poses. Micah was not a huge fan of being nakey but did love a good swaddle.
Meet Lucy. I met Lucy’s family about a year ago and was so excited when they chose me to photograph their maternity and newborn sessions. I loved seeing this sweet family again and capturing miss Lucy and those huge cheeks!

With over 8 years experience working with newborn babies and families, Catherine King photography is one of the best newborn photographers in CT. The newborn photography studio is located in Madison, CT and serves New Haven county, Middlesex county, New London county. In Madison, CT, you’ll be greeted by a warm, cozy space with everything you’ll need. Enjoy a warm cup of coffee (or decaf!) and relax in a comfy chair. Your newborn baby will be in good hands.
Each newborn session is planned and customized with coordinated setups and latest props. The only thing you’ll need to bring is yourselves! The studio is stocked with bonnets, wraps, headbands, and gorgeous layers. Forgot diapers or wipes? No worries, we’ve got those too. you don’t need to bring a thing unless you want to.
Safety and comfort of the baby is always the number one priority. I am up to date with all latest required vaccines and take extreme care to keep the space clean and germ-free. While I will have a workflow planned to guide your baby through a variety of poses with the least amount of disturbance, I will also take cues from the baby when they need a break for an extra snuggle or a feeding.
