Have I mentioned lately how much I love living on the shoreline in CT? It’s pretty amazing. Within sheer minutes I am at the beach, surrounded by the sand, ocean and gorgeous scenery for some family photography. The S family and I have actually known each other for a few years but it was my first year photographing their family. We chose the beach location for their weeknight mini photography session and it turned out to be a gorgeous evening. The sun was shining. The kids were happy running around by the ocean. And mom and dad were seriously laid back and chill.
I often get asked what advice I would give to parents who want a successful ct family photography session and my answer is always the same. Relax. Smile. Let the kids pick up your energy as positive, happy, and, most importantly, not stressed! The more parents relax and step back, the more I tend to watch their kids follow suit. Even with a 4 and a 2 year old during this family photography session, we got gorgeous images in just 30 minutes! Mom and dad were up for anything, climbing through rocks and into the ocean. I loved seeing this family for their photos.
