As much as I adore Bauer Farm in Madison CT in the Fall (and that’s a lot!), I love love love it in the summer. Late this summer the K family and I met at Bauer Farm for their ct family photography session.
I love working with 2 year olds. I know that some photographers in ct shy away because 2 year olds generally are very difficult to keep in one spot, much less get them into a family photo, but it’s a challenge I take on and love. One of my biggest tricks is to bring along some enticing props for them to sit or stand on – it’s usually just the right amount of time to keep them to one location and snap some photos. This baby boy loved my new tricycle that I found at a local antique shop and I love the way the photos turn out. As for photographing 2 year olds during their family photography sessions? My biggest advise is to just go with the flow and capture them in their moment. As a parent myself, I know I would love to remember all the little things like the way they just can’t sit still 🙂 hehe
