What is the ideal age for a newborn photography session?
The ideal age for professionally posed newborn portrait session is 5-15 days old. This age is ideal because the babies are still super curly and sleepy, allowing for those adorable womb-like poses.
If your baby is older, don’t worry – you can still capture beautiful images. While older newborns may not pose or be as sleepy, I have extensive experience posing babies of all ages and can still photograph a mix of sweet sleepy images and stunning wide-awake portraits.
When should I book my studio newborn session?
Most families book their newborn photographer during the second trimester. Luxury newborn photographers in Connecticut typically take on a limited number of sessions each month, allowing for the unpredictability and flexibility needed of newborn babies.
Booking early guarantees a spot on the photographer’s calendar and you gives you priority scheduling once baby arrives. If your baby is already born or you are booking last minute, I often have last-minute options available depending on scheduling, so please don’t hesitate to reach out.
What is included in your all-inclusive newborn photography packages?
All newborn packages include fully styled sessions, access to the high-end props, full posing/session time, professional editing, and the included number of digital files and print credits. The only thing you have to bring is yourself and your baby. The studio is packed with props, wraps, headbands, bonnets, and so much more to create gorgeous styled sets that will be used during your newborn set. You will have the option to wear one of our gorgeous dresses for the photos or bring your own. Each package clearly states the number of setups and digital images that are included so there are never any surprises.
