Christmas mini sessions are always one of the busiest and most fun parts of the year at the studio.
Every season looks a little different, but the goal is always the same: create sweet, simple holiday photos that feel polished without making the whole process stressful for your family.
Last year’s Christmas minis were filled with cozy outfits, excited kids, sibling photos, snowball fights, and plenty of holiday card favorites. I’m sharing a few favorites from those sessions here while we get ready for this year’s Christmas mini sessions in Madison, CT.

A Look Back at Last Year’s Christmas Minis
Last year’s holiday sets had a classic Christmas feel and worked beautifully for families, siblings, babies, and young children.
Some kids walked in ready to smile. Some needed a few minutes to warm up. Some were mostly interested in exploring the set, which is very normal and honestly part of the fun.
Mini sessions move quickly, but they are planned with kids in mind. We keep things simple, guided, and flexible enough to get a mix of smiling photos, sweet sibling moments, and a few natural in-between images too.

2026 Christmas Mini Sessions
This year’s Christmas mini-session sets will be completely different from the ones shown in this post, which is part of what makes them fun each year.
I’m already browsing lots and lots of latest decor and styling the studio – I cannot wait to share this year’s setups with you!
For 2026, I’ll be offering holiday mini sessions at the studio in Madison, Connecticut. These sessions are ideal for families who want updated photos for Christmas cards, gifts, framed prints, or just a few sweet images of the kids during the holiday season.
I’ll also host Christmas photos at a Tree Farm in Durham CT – this is always a family favorite!

Who Should Book a Christmas Mini Session?
Christmas mini sessions are a great fit if you want a short and easy session with a festive setup.
They work especially well for:
- holiday card photos
- updated sibling photos
- baby’s first Christmas photos
- quick family photos
- grandparent gifts
- an annual holiday tradition
Because these are mini sessions, they are shorter and more structured than a full family session. If your child needs a lot of time to warm up, or if you want a larger variety of images, a full session may be a better fit.
Some things to be aware of before booking your mini session:
- Mini sessions are booked back to back with others and the short time frame is strictly followed
- These sessions are set on specific dates and times with specific sets
- The goal is to turn the photos around quickly so that you have time to order your xmas cards!

Book Your 2026 Christmas Mini Session
Christmas mini sessions usually book quickly because there are only a limited number of spots available.
If you are hoping for holiday photos this year, I recommend grabbing a spot early so you have time to use your images for cards and gifts without feeling rushed.
This year’s sets will be new, but the experience will be the same: simple, festive, organized, and easy for your family. There will be a custom backdrop as well as a “bedroom” set so formal attire, pj’s or adorable sweaters are all welcome!
