Christmas is just a couple of days away so today’s post is a wrap up of 2022 Holiday Photography – Xmas mini sessions edition.
Each year I spend countless hours debating and deciding on Holiday sets. I absolutely love the entire process – from picking out backdrops that are both unique from previous years as well as different from one another. Then comes the shopping. It’s always great when people stare me down as I shop for Xmas props in September. Yep, that’s who all those stores set up early for! And finally I photograph all the sets. I think the last step is important so that my clients are able to find outfits that go well with the year’s sets!
I’ll skip over all the nitty gritty steps of marketing and customer relationship management and all those other business-y terms.
And instead let’s talk about my favorite part – seeing all the families!
About 90% of the families that I photograph for xmas minis are babies and families that I’ve been photographing over the years or met in the last couple of years. I get so giddy and excited to see everyone and see how the kids have grown. Each time a client books a mini I literally cannot wait to see their faces and learn what new milestone the kids have reached.
