2022 is off to a great start here in the studio and I am so excited to share all that I have planned for this year. But before we dive into the planned mini and seasonal photoshoots in Connecticut for 2022, a few updates.
First and foremost, I want to assure you that I am taking every precaution to make sure that we keep everyone that lives here or visits here safe. All studio mini sessions are pushed off until end of March/beginning of April and I will continue to take extreme diligence in making sure the space, and those in it, is squeaky clean and healthy. Expect some extra health screenings, more time between scheduled sessions, and other precautions.
Second, not only are my husband and I vaccinated and boosted, we’re so excited that both of our kids are as well! Needless to say this extra layer of protection makes me feel much much better about the rocky COVID rates. I hope that it will make you feel safer as well.
Now! On to the fun stuff that I have planned for 2022!
Glitter mini photo sessions
I am so excited to bring back the glitter mini photoshoots this year! They were extremely popular and the kids had the best time. I cannot wait to see what this year brings for adorable outfits, shiny crowns, and lots lots lots of sparkly glitter.
You can expect these sessions to be scheduled for the end of March and for you to be able to book them the beginning of March. The best way to assure that you are the first to hear about them is to make sure you are subscribed to the e-mail list.
These sessions will be limited to one weekend and one weekend only. Don’t miss this year’s opportunity for one-of-a-kind capture of your little ones.
Mommy and me mini sessions
Back for another year are also the Mommy and Me mini sessions. These are probably the most popular mini sessions other than the Holiday sessions. Mommy and me sessions are a beautiful opportunity to capture the gorgeous mamas with their babies. One of my favorite trends is to also bring your mom along and capture 3 generations!

These sessions will take place at the end of April/beginning of May. I am already excitedly planning the sets. Now’s the time to start planning your outfits!
Holiday mini photoshoots in 2022
Last, but certainly not least, are the Holiday mini sessions. These have been the most popular sessions year after year. I have already (yep! lol) started to purchase items for next year’s sets! Can you tell I am excited? Want a sneak peak at some favorites from 2021? Click here.
This year these holiday mini sessions will take place at the beginning on November and will run for a full week! I absolutely hated saying no to families last year who were not able to get a spot and want to give you plenty of opportunity in the new year.

Seasonal photoshoots in 2022
In addition to the mini sessions, you will also have an opportunity for some seasonal photoshoots. These 3 are the most popular ones.
Lavender Farm Photoshoots
I am excited to see you all again this year at Lavender Pond Farm in Killingworth for some absolutely stunning photos. This one-of-a-kind location is a favorite.
Lavender fields have a very limited peak season in July. Therefore there will only be limited spots for taking photos. Since the farm hours are also limited and no photographers are allowed outside of those hours, these sessions will take place during weekday mornings and weekday afternoons. We had a wonderful turn out in 2021 and I’m hopeful for another opportunity to provide you with gorgeous images.
Beach family photoshoots
You know that I absolutely love living the shoreline life, especially in the summer! We have some of the most beautiful beaches and I love seeing your families year after year.
Since we are on the shoreline, you can always schedule a beach photoshoot for your family. However, the most popular time to capture the beautiful sunsets is during the month of August and September. If this is on your bucket list for 2022, mark your calendars and let’s get in touch in June to schedule your session. Don’t worry – you’ll get a reminder as well!
Fall family photoshoots in Connecticut
Fall is hands-down the most popular time for family photos in Connecticut. We are lucky to have gorgeous foliage and some of the most beautiful locations to capture it.
Peak Fall season in Connecticut is October to mid-November. If you’re looking forward to a Fall photoshoot for your family, start looking at your Fall calendar and we will plan your photoshoot in August. As always, I’ll be sending out an e-mail with reminders as well as available openings. If the weekend is the only time your family can do a photoshoot I would suggest reaching out to me directly at the end of the summer.
