Raise your hand if you’re ready for Spring!
I know I am! I just cannot wait for those beautiful fresh air Spring CT photography sessions with all my beautiful families. This year I am especially excited to capture the spectacular Cherry blooms, colorful Lavender fields and flowering fields. There is nothing quiet as uplifting as seeing new blooms and the warm fresh air after a cold dark winter.
And with Spring return the outdoor family sessions! You don’t want to miss what New England has to offer as its backdrop. Today I wanted to share with you a few tips for putting together your Spring photography session wardrobe.
1- While in the Fall I love bright colors to compliment the scenery, in Spring I adore muted colors. Peach, teal, off white or grey are spectacular against the Spring early blooms and small splashes of color. When planning your outfits, think about the location of your photography session and try to find complimentary options.
2- Layer and textures are key! Not only because layers are gorgeous and really add to your photos, but they’ll offer you warmth during the chilly spring evenings on the CT shoreline. If you’ve chosen a beach or shoreline location, plan for high winds as well.
3- Avoid matching. This is something I recommend each season, honestly. Choose complimentary 2-3 colors for everyone to wary between or choose shades of similar colors. But don’t go too matchy-matchy.

Looking for a professional photographer who is laid back, flexible and knows how to capture that perfect moment without making you feel like you’re striking a cheesy pose? Want someone who will guide you into a natural pose that won’t feel awkward or forced? Do you want someone who will make you feel comfortable and at ease in front of the camera?
You’ve found us. We specialize in working with newborns, babies and young children, although those skills are easily transferable to the adults as well (I’ve been known to use a squeaker on a grown-up or two). We absolutely love working with children and it shows. You won’t find us losing patience or pushing them to do anything they don’t want to do. We take our cues from them and from you. Our sessions are completely customized for your family and, dare I say it, are fun.
