As the year comes to an end, I wanted to take a second and look back at 2020. This year was by far one the most challenging years, but it was not without its hi-lights.
2020 forced many of us to think outside the box, to adjust what we worked hard to build, to become even more flexible than we though we had the capacity to do. After a few months of shut down, followed by a few months of outdoor-only sessions, I learned a few things.
I learned that my clients are truly amazing – patient, kind, understanding. They waited until we decided it was safe and then adjusted to outdoor newborn sessions, family sessions, and milestone sessions. While I learned how to create a safe environment, they trusted me. To say that I am grateful would be an understatent.
I learned how to shoot outdoor newborn sessions, both on location and in my back yard. Actually, I learned that I did not dislike these sessions! While the breeze and bugs certainly presented their own challenges, I adored the beauty nature added to these shoots.
There are many things that 2020 changed and there will be a few that I will continue to keep moving forward.
As for today, I wanted to share with you the 57 newborns that I had the pleasure of photographing in 2020. I cannot wait to see what 2021 brings.
