This is an absolutely beautiful in-home newborn session with Ashton and her family. As a professional newborn photographer I have a love for photographing tiny babies in their homes.
When I speak with clients who are interested in newborn photos, I always recommend a maternity session because it allows us to get to know one another, get comfortable, as well as capture this absolutely amazing time in their lives! I was so happy to hear that Cary and her family wanted to have a maternity session to make sure that baby #2 had just as many photos as baby #1 (and as a parent of two…..well…it’s not that easy). I can’t stress to moms the importance of capturing all the moments – not just because I am a photographer or because you get to look at those photos for years to come, but because there will be generations after generations that will treasure these photos.
A super long story made short, I had an absolutely wonderful time with L family and their newest addition to the family. Although Ashton sure did make it hard for me to get some posed shots, I won in the end and we got some wonderful sleepy shots. And the best part was that we were all already super comfortable with one another and big sister Emma had no problem taking some direction from me and knew we would have fun.
