A gorgeous sunset session with Catherine King, a CT Maternity Photographer
I am so incredibly lucky to have known this beautiful couple for nearly 10 years now and being chosen to be their maternity photographer was so exciting. I loved being able to capture this precious and romantic milestone in their lives – their first baby girl is due at the end of this year and I am giddy to meet and photographer her.
When preparing for this session, Janice and I spent some time going over everything that they wanted to get out of their maternity session. I arrived at their home for a few shots because I absolutely love their doorway. The light, the framing – I have been dreaming of these photos.
Following the house, we went to one of my favorite photography places for some romantic shots.
When we talked about our session I got Janice excited about some silhouette photos. But when we were at the location, the sun, the background – it just wasn’t cutting it. Last minute we decided to just drive by the beach to see if it works out. Living on the shoreline sure does have its perks.
When we arrived at the beach, the sun was almost down and the sky was lit up with one of the most beautiful sunsets that I’ve witnessed. We all but ran onto the rocks on the peninsula and captured the gorgeous sunlit sky.
